Welcome agency owners.    Over the next few weeks and months I will use this space to share with you how I sold my digital marketing agency after 15 years for top dollar.   It was a fascinating and eductional journey that took approximately 9 months from start to finish and a journey that allowed me to sell my businss for 3.5 times annual net profits.  What really surprised me as I went through the process was the gobs of interest there was in buying my business, from over 30 inquiries to two bona fide offers to one eventual buyer at my full asking price.  What helped me immensely was my very knowledgable business broker, by attorney and my book keeper, as I sorted through the many serious inquiries and the tire kickers to the merely curious.  While the entire process took me nine months there are steps you should seriously consider getting in place now that will help ease your path to a satisfactory sale down the road.
